Is GTA 6 delayed again?
No. As of October 31, 2026, GTA VI has not been delayed again. Rockstar's GTA VI site still reads "Coming November 19, 2026", and pre-load still begins November 12, 2026 at local midnight. The screenshot claiming a move to March 2027 that spread on October 27 is not a Rockstar announcement.
Where the release date stands today, the two real delays and how Rockstar announced them, what the October 2026 "delayed to 2027" claim was, and the next official checkpoint.

- Take-Two's results release of August 7, 2026 refers to "the November 19th launch of Grand Theft Auto VI".

Why was GTA 6 delayed the second time?
Rockstar's November 6, 2025 statement: "Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve."
That is the most recent date change from Rockstar. Since then the date has been repeated, not moved: by Rockstar's own site and store pages, and by Take-Two, whose August 7, 2026 results release cites "excitement around the November 19th launch of Grand Theft Auto VI".
The "GTA 6 delayed to 2027" claim (October 27, 2026)
On October 27, 2026 a screenshot styled as a Rockstar message circulated on social media, claiming the game had moved to March 2027. It is not on Rockstar Newswire, Rockstar's social accounts or any store page.
For The Win (USA TODAY) reported the same day: "That's a fake screenshot you're seeing and there's nothing yet that would suggest that anything has changed." International Business Times UK wrote on October 28: "Rockstar Games has not announced another delay for Grand Theft Auto VI."
Earlier 2027 claims (an anonymous X account in June, a parody account in August, a former developer's personal guess) also came with no announcement behind them.
How to tell if GTA 6 is really delayed
- Rockstar Newswire: both real delays were posted here first, with a new date.
- GTA VI official site: shows the current date in its header.
- Take-Two investor news: next results on Monday, November 9, 2026, ten days before launch.
- PlayStation Store listing: a real move would change the release date shown here.
- A screenshot without a matching Newswire post is not an announcement.
