Confirmed now

  • Release date: November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
  • Pre-load begins at local midnight on November 12, 2026 (Rockstar Support).
  • Japan uses a single time zone, JST (UTC+9), and does not observe daylight saving, so both key dates stay on that offset.
  • The Japan PlayStation Store listing shows Thu, Nov 19, 12:00 AM GMT+9. That is store data, not a Rockstar announcement.

Still unknown

  • The unlock hour on November 19 in Japan.
  • Whether Japanese players unlock at a worldwide moment or at local midnight.

Japanese clock facts

  • Japan uses one clock, JST (UTC+9), so pre-load opens at one moment for every player in the country.
  • Japan does not change its clocks for daylight saving, so the November 12 and November 19 offsets are the same.
  • A midnight pre-load in Japan is Wed 11 Nov, 15:00 UTC, so UTC tables on other sites may show the previous calendar date.
  • Use the conversion table for other countries instead of adding hours in your head.
