How to Make Money in GTA 6

Not confirmed. As of October 27, 2026, Rockstar has not published how earning in-game money works in GTA VI. We list a method, payout or time only if we have tested it ourselves in the shipped game (marked Tested), or if two independent outlets report it consistently (marked Corroborated), and each entry says which.

What Rockstar has said so far

The official GTA VI site (checked October 27, 2026) describes the setting and story premise and lists pre-order bonuses. Its copy mentions scores ("when an easy score goes wrong") and, on the Only in Leonida pages, Raul Bautista as "a seasoned bank robber". That is story and character copy. Rockstar has not described how jobs pay or repeat, how the in-game economy works, or what anything costs.

That means every number or method you see for GTA VI money before launch is unverified.

How GTA V handled money (previous game only)

  • GTA V had an in-game stock market. IGN describes it as buying low and selling high to turn a profit.
  • GTA V stock prices were affected by what the player did in the story, and Lester's assassination missions were the main way to move them. IGN and GamesRadar both say so.
  • This is how the previous game worked. It does not confirm that GTA VI has any of these systems.
