Launch day preparation checklist

A spoiler-safe checklist for storage space, accounts, accessibility settings, and Field Guide preferences before you press start—no mission walkthroughs.

Official-source boundary: limited to publicly confirmable product and media facts. Not a mission walkthrough.

Before release

Prepare without story spoilers

Prepare storage, accounts, display settings, accessibility options, and spoiler preferences before launch day. None of these checks require story knowledge.

Console-side checks

What to verify before you press start

Storage — keep enough headroom for the base install, launch updates, captured clips, and the console's temporary working space. Do not rely on an unconfirmed download-size rumor.

Accounts — update the console, sign in to the account that owns the game, confirm family-sharing rules, and test the payment or redemption region before launch traffic peaks.

Display and access — set HDR, subtitles, text size, audio range, controller options, and accessibility preferences in advance; revisit them once the game exposes its own menu.

Spoiler perimeter — set your Field Guide chapter and spoiler cap before searching for help, then raise it only when your save has moved forward.
